ACADEMIC ADVISING

Don't hesitate to reach out!

The Academic Support Centre (ASC) aims to:

  • Ensure that each student has a well-rounded academic experience;
  • Advise and assist students with their program and course choices and make changes to schedules, as needed;
  • Help students understand the impacts of dropping a course (or college altogether) or how changing their program might affect their academic career;
  • Help targeted students identify the causes and risks of failing and recommend strategies to improve their work methods, time management skills, motivation, research methods, etc;
  • Review students’ academic records for admission;
  • Review course substitution, equivalence, and exemption cases;
  • Send written authorization on student's behalf to complete required courses in another college;
  • Examine academic profiles to issue diplomas;
  • Educate students about the academic policies adopted by the Centre, including the Institutional Policy on the Evaluation of Learning (in French only) (PIÉA).
