Procedures for Winter Session 2022
The Centre d'études collégiales à Chibougamau team is pleased to welcome you back for Winter Session 2022. The points listed below will provide you with some important information about how the term will unfold.
Classes will start on January 17 and you will find your specific course schedule on the Col.Net site. We encourage you to check your messages on Col.Net to access all your course details.
Start of classes and method of instruction:
- Week of January 17: classes will be held remotely, except for labs, internships and any situation requiring that the student be present in person (such as re-sitting an exam, for example).
- Week of January 24: classes will very likely be held remotely, as was the case during the week of January 17 (to be confirmed).
- One student at a time may pick up and/or purchase materials at the Coop from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
- Students living outside the urban area and/or who have a weak or unreliable Internet connection, students whose family situation is not conducive to distance learning, and students from Chapais may attend classes in person (at Exil, in the documentation centre or in a conference room or classroom). However, gathering in a single area is prohibited; only one student at a time per classroom/area is permitted.
- Students are free to use the gym during opening hours, but only one person at a time will be allowed in.
Health measures in effect
The following health measures remain in effect: you must maintain a distance of 1.5 metres from others when seated in the classroom and 2 m everywhere else. A face covering/mask is required at all times.
Reminder of general prevention measures
If you have any symptoms related to COVID-19, stay home. Wash your hands frequently with warm running water and soap for at least 20 seconds. If you do not have access to soap and water, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Follow good hygiene practices when you cough or sneeze: cover your mouth and nose with your arm to reduce the spread of germs. If you use a paper tissue, dispose of it as soon as possible and wash your hands.
