ARTE campus: This platform offers high-quality ARTE documentaries for all fields of knowledge (Arts, Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences, Sciences and Technology) and all major societal topics (Sustainable Development, Media Education, Gender Equality, etc.).

Atlas of Canada (The): A major source of geographic information, the Atlas provides access to a selection of interactive, historical and downloadable maps and geographic data for reference purposes.

BAnQ – Digital and Audiobooks: Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec offers digital books and audiobooks in multiple languages.

BAnQ – Magazines and Newspapers: Digital resources allowing the consultation of magazines and newspapers. BAnQ offers free and remote access to numerous databases. To benefit from this, simply subscribe to the remote services by filling out the online form.

Bescherelle: In Bescherelle, you can find the conjugation of more than 9,500 contemporary French verbs, each with its identity sheet and conjugation in all moods and tenses, both in the active and passive voice.

Bibliothèque des Amériques: Provides access to thousands of completely free digital Francophone books. You need to register by creating an account.

Britannica: This digital tool in English offers an encyclopedia, an atlas and a dictionary. The site is adapted to each person’s linguistic level with three possible entries into the resource according to their level.

Classiques des sciences sociales (Les): Free access to works in French social and human sciences. It includes both classic and contemporary authors. There are works on social science methodology, development sciences, natural sciences, the history of Saguenay—Lac St-Jean, etc.

Criterion: Online digital film platform. It includes classics, foreign films, literary adaptations, documentaries, animated titles and feature films.

Curio.ca: Streaming of the best educational content from Radio-Canada and CBC. This includes television and radio documentaries, reports, archival documents, generic sequences, etc. Over 5,000 programs and resources.

Erudit: Database of Quebec journals, books, theses, documents and data in the humanities and social sciences.

Eureka: Current events and periodical archives: periodicals, newspapers, radio shows, press conferences from several countries. Eureka allows access to the text of articles after an embargo of one issue for each publication. The “Actualité Québec” database includes texts from newspapers such as La Presse, Le Soleil, Le Devoir, L’actualité, Le Droit, Protégez-Vous and many others.

Grand Robert & Collins (Le): Le Grand Robert & Collins, the largest and most up-to-date bilingual dictionary, designed for all professionals. Find the right words for the professional context with 25,000 specialized terms in all fields: economics, new technologies, environment, etc.

Handbook of Chemistry and Physics: Vade-mecum containing numerous pieces of information and data tables in the fields of chemistry, physics and mathematics.

Index of the Saguenayensia Journal: A journal, offered in French, that is among the oldest history journals in Quebec, making it a true dissemination tool highlighting the Saguenay’s past.

Institut de la statistique du Québec: Access to information, publications, surveys and the official statistics database of Quebec.

Map as History (The): The multimedia historical atlas of reference for a better understanding of History. More than 850 animated and commented maps in French, English, and Spanish.

Multidictionnaire de la langue française (Le): French language dictionary that includes 10 tools in 1: spelling, grammar, difficulties, conjugation, syntax, anglicisms, typography, Quebecisms, abbreviations and correspondence.

News in review: The specialized channel offers continuous access in the form of 15-minute short documentaries on the four news stories that dominated the headlines and captivated Radio-Canada viewers. Each edition is accompanied by an educational guide.

NFB (National Film Board of Canada): A collection of films produced by the National Film Board of Canada, including documentaries, animated films, interactive productions and short films in both French and English, featuring several exclusive titles. It also includes educational guides and kits addressing major current issues.

Perspective Monde: Website to better understand the phenomena that have shaped the world since the end of World War II, to find data on population or the economy and to visualize the distribution of wealth through graphs and maps. This is not a specialized site, but an educational one. We have gathered the most important and frequently used data by students and the general public.

Petit Robert (Le): More than 60,000 French language terms are defined. Includes etymology, spelling, pronunciation, expressions and phrases, homonyms, synonyms and antonyms.

Quebec Audiovisual Database: The directory of Quebec audiovisual production stems from the documentation and cataloging work carried out by the “Cinémathèque québécoise” on cinema and television. It includes more than 23,000 titles produced over more than a century by individuals or companies established in Quebec. This is a constantly evolving directory.

Québec géographique (Le): A portal that gives you access to all maps, atlases and geographic information products available in the ministries and agencies of the Government of Quebec.

Repère: Index for locating articles from French-language journals published in Quebec, elsewhere in Canada, in France, Belgium and Switzerland. These periodicals are either general or specialized and cover all fields of knowledge.

Répertoire patrimoine culturel Québec: The “Répertoire du patrimoine culturel du Québec” allows everyone to discover the richness of Quebec’s cultural heritage by making it accessible to all. This heritage consists of elements of real estate, movable and intangible heritage, as well as events, groups, people and commemorative plaques. Website offered in French.

RxPhotos: RxPhotos allows the identification of pharmaceutical products using its image database.

Saguenayensia: Articles and columns (in French) published by the Saguenay Historical Society.

Savoir Media: Savoir Media offers free access to original productions that give a voice to recognized Quebec experts, as well as featuring major foreign series.

ScholarVox: This resource gives you access to books from over 300 publishers worldwide. Books in French, English, Spanish and a few other languages are available.

Télé-Québec | Documentaries: Télé-Québec presents historical, wildlife, scientific, Quebecois and foreign documentaries, including many from National Geographic.

Universalis: The encyclopedic reference of the French-speaking world. Dedicated to documentary research, general culture and education. Universalis offers high-quality answers in all disciplines and across all major fields of knowledge through multiple media.

Usito: Designed and produced in Quebec, this French language dictionary aims to reflect the reality of the particularities of Quebecois, Canadian and North American usages. This new version is updated daily to adapt to the evolution of the language. Several dozen contributors from the University of Sherbrooke have pooled their expertise to create this very comprehensive reference work.

Vertigo: Open Edition Journals: Vertigo welcomes works from multiple disciplines, including sociology, natural sciences, anthropology, law, philosophy, health sciences, political sciences, etc.

Vithèque: Vithèque presents the collection of vidéographe, one of the largest video collections in Canada. Video art, documentary, animation, fiction, video dance, essay, video installation, experimental cinema – Vithèque showcases independent creation in all its forms. You must be registered and logged in to Vithèque to watch the full videos and access certain textual content. Free access for BAnQ subscribers.
